I’m a Ukrainian-Armenian director, video editor, and motion graphics artist, currently based in Barcelona, Spain. With 10+ years of experience, I’ve worked on everything from commercials and documentaries to music videos, promos, and experimental films—handling directing, editing, and motion design across a variety of styles and formats.
I studied visual communication at
HEAD – Geneva, where I explored design, typography, and motion—skills that shape how I approach storytelling, composition, and pacing. Beyond directing and editing, I cover the full spectrum of post-production, including color grading, sound design, and audio mix/mastering, ensuring every project is polished from start to finish.
Beyond video, I produce electronic music under my DJ alias,
York Hamza, blending IDM, house, and techno. Music and film are closely linked in my process—both rely on timing, movement, and atmosphere to create something that resonates.
At the core of it all, I love pushing ideas, experimenting with form, and seeing where creative exploration leads.
