'bout   me

I'm a Ukrainian-Armenian director, editor, and motion designer based in Barcelona. For more than ten years I've been making things move—commercials, documentaries, music videos, promos, and the occasional experimental film—often wearing several hats at once: directing one project, cutting another, designing motion for a third. What ties it all together is an obsession with rhythm.

I trained in visual communication at HEAD – Geneva, where typography and motion taught me that pacing is everything—where a cut lands, how a frame breathes, what makes someone keep watching instead of scrolling on. I also handle the full back end of post—color, sound design, mix and master—so a piece feels finished rather than just assembled.

Away from the screen I make electronic music as York Hamza—IDM, house, techno—and the two practices feed each other constantly; editing and producing are both just timing, tension, and atmosphere by another name. I like working fast, pushing an idea further than the brief asked for, and finding the version nobody expected.
